Want to Learn About the Publishing Industry?

Join Our Internship Program!

The Inkwell—an imprint of W. W. Norton & Company—hosts an internship program every fall, spring, and summer designed to introduce motivated college students and recent graduates to publishing. Internships provide valuable hands-on experience with the day-to-day business of bookmaking, as well as opportunities to network with employees at the company and with fellow interns who frequently go on to become colleagues in the field.

Interns at W. W. Norton are paid $15 per hour. Each internship season is 12 weeks long, and interns work a maximum of 20 hours weekly. Specific work hours are flexible, but interns are expected to work three or four days per week. All interns must be able to work during regular business hours (9 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST). We encourage people who would work remotely to apply as well. W. W. Norton & Company, an equal opportunity employer, is fully independent and employee-owned.
